Pinehurst Foundation Board Members and Executive Director
Craig has been a member of Pinehurst Country Club since 1992 and has served on the Pinehurst Foundation Board of Directors since 2009. He and his wife and five grown children have enjoyed all that PCC, primarily around the pool and golf courses.
“It is an honor to serve on this Board with my fellow Directors doing one simple thing, helping those less fortunate to make even one day better. It is my believe that through the efforts of our Board and our donors we are indeed doing that” !

Jackie Ryan, a Pinehurst Foundation board member for six years, says it’s a privilege to sit and talk with a potential Pinehurst Foundation beneficiary face to face. While she is moved with compassion, she’s also impressed by the grace that many display, often in the face of fear or even pain. The foundation, she believes, is here to make a difference in the lives of many.
Motivated to give back in other ways, Ryan has served on several committees at Pinehurst. Jackie and her husband, Jerry, have two daughters and five grandsons. A Pinehurst member since 1996, Jackie spent her career in design at architectural and interior design firms. She can be found on the links with the ladies or taking advantage of her lovely life as a retiree.
Ryan sums up the foundation’s gestalt simply. “We can make a difference,” said Ryan.
Dale DeLeo is the founder and president of 2Keys Asset Management and is focused on the day to day operations of running large private estates. Dale is a published, award winning contractor for both his industry projects and for his charitable work in the community.
Dale and his wife Karen joined Pinehurst Country Club in 2013 along with their 2 children Vincent and Gabriella. For the past four years, Dale has been an active board member of the Pinehurst Foundation. Dale is an accomplished non profit board member, sitting on numerous boards throughout the Denver area. Dale’s passion for advocating for those in need, facilitating key partnerships and his generous spirit have increased the Pinehurst’s Foundation’s ability to improve lives throughout the community.
Volunteering is one of Karen Valdez’s passions. The Foundation has been part of the club for over 10 years, and each year she is honored to help raise funds through the golf tournament and auction night. Karen draws particular joy from telling someone who is financially struggling that the Pinehurst Foundation is awarding them a grant and she is always humbled by the recipients strength and courage.
“The heartfelt joy of serving others brings many rewards,” said Valdez. “The needs are endless and I hope more Pinehurst members will support this foundation.”
She and her husband Tom love golf, the Derby Day Party and all the social events the club has to offer. We can be found on the patio by the fire pits, having dinner on the patio or enjoying cocktails in Bogies year round with our great group of friends.
Karen has fond memories from the early 1970’s when she and her parents would spend days by the pool, taking tennis and golf lessons, leaping from the high dive and indulging in the frozen malts at the snack shop. One of her favorite memories is the 4th of July celebration—the big band playing patriotic music and the firework show timed perfectly to the music.
